• Bakery and Pastry Doña Luisa Xicotencatl, S.A. opened in February
  1978. They began selling products that were new to most
  Guatemalans, highlighting the wheat bread, grain bread, raisins with
  cinnamon, carrot cake and banana bread. In 1987 their building which
  was damaged in the 1976 earthquake, was purchased and restored.
  The building, built in 1650 is one of the few originals from Antigua
  Guatemala. Doña Luisa Xicotencatl, S.A is a place where families
  gather to enjoy a good meal, a place where students congregate and
  practice Spanish by refilling coffee and cake, and where people from
  all over the world gather to enjoy good food and the pleasant
  atmosphere of Antigua Guatemala.
